Smart Women Organise Things in Advance

Yes you indeed are smart a woman – the woman of 21st century! Now, this does not mean that you need to be in competition with all the men out there and that too all the time. To me, the title ‘Smart Woman’ holds true if and only if you tend to respect your femininity and you tend to be more proud of being a woman. This further means that you could value yourselves only by valuing your womanhood. I know many of you would agree with me...

But, with your womanhood also comes a lot of [remember – a lot of] responsibilities. Women these days are not only for cooking, cleaning, raising children and looking after their husbands but are also for all other chores out in the real world. Like any other citizen in the modern world, they also have social responsibilities to take care of. And for this reason, women do deal with more mental stress than men. Several reports have proved that greater responsibilities have thereby increased the burden on women. Thus, here it is rather important for you as a woman to organise things [if possible, in advance] – this may help you to avoid the stressful situations and thereby letting you enjoy your work and more importantly yourself the more.

Organising space::

Whatever it is – from a closet to kitchen at home and from a computer to entire department at office, you may need to assign a particular place for everything. This is not only about tidying up the things but is also about finding things in no time!

So, at home for your collection of books or DVDs you could give each category its shelf in a showcase. And, for all those warm wears invest in coat racks that come with attached shelves, umbrella stand and shoe baskets – simply, put all your accessories at one place so that you do not waste time finding them while sending off your kids to school or your hubby to office. You could as well queue up your clothes (or rather churn them at regular intervals) for easy pull-outs. In kitchen as well put up things in order on the basis of how frequently they are used. For instance, spices, sugar, tea/ coffee jars should be kept handy and in easy view.

At office, you are expected to act smarter and thus, just keep everything (important documents, files/ folders, couriers, stationery etc) in place. Organise all the items in their designated places – files in different shelves/ racks, envelops and stamps in the drawers and pens in pen holders. Assign different sections of the rack to the different things and equipment and put up name slips on each for easy search. For your inboxes as well, de-clutter regularly - make it a habit to delete all the spam mails.

Planning things::

Now, I understand life has gone all hurly-burly. To avoid feeling scattered or at the end, annoyed, use simple items like calendars, planners or simply a smart phone. Put up/ hang the calendar where you could see it every day – beside refrigerator, in kitchen or even beside the bathroom mirror! Planner could help you to keep things in mind if you are to travel for a business meeting. In fact, a simple practice could be getting notice boards beside your desk at office or your bed/ telephone table at home. Make a ‘To-Do List’ every week and for that purpose, every month and rethink where the things are going.
